Joe Getz came to Bangor from Benton Harbor in 1898 and opened a store with a general line of merchandise.  In 1901 he moved back to Benton Harbor only to return to Bangor in 1903 setting up the same line of business and specializing in millinery.  In 1907 he purchased a building where the Jeni Wren Flower Shop stands today.  We think Joe was related to Oscar Getz, partner in the Gough Brothers and Getz Grocery Store.  We know Oscar had one daughter but we do not know anything about Joe Getz' family.  Someone please help us.
