Green and Angelina West were among the very first African-Americans to settle in the Bangor area. Green came to Arlington Township via the Underground Railroad from Kentucky as a young teenager before the Civil War. He was a Civil War Veteran serving in Company B, 1st Michigan Colored Infantry. Together, Green and Angelina had 13 childern. |
