In the spring of 1919, Bangor sent the high school track team to participate in a state wide track meet at the Michigan Agricultural College (Michigan State University).  A relay team made up of (sitting l to r) Loren Fausnaugh, Jim Northrup, (standing l to r) Ralph Dibble, Howard Barker, and Myrlin Hahnenstein won their event.  It is not know what particular relay race they participated in.  Schools were divided into two classes depending on their size.  The Bangor time was the second best of both classes.
