There have been at least four gas stations at the northwest corner of Railroad St. and Monroe St.  This was the second one in the series and was operated by Fred Zook.  The site was originally occupied by the Sebring House Hotel, which was a landmark in town for nearly sixty years.  The building to the right is what remained of the old hotel.  We have photos of all the old gas stations and the Sebring House.
