Monroe St., looking west from Railroad tracks, circa 1930.

This is just a rough idea of some of the items we are looking for.  Several times between 1875 and the early 1900's, both the Reflector and the Advance mentioned that individual photographers were about town taking pictures.  The Bangor Furnace Company was photographed several times.  However, only one picture of that business is known to still exist.  Cecil Monk said he remembered scores of old glass negatives that dated to the early days of Bangor at his families home when he was young. Unfortunately, those negatives were destroyed.  We know pictures existed from the late 1800's at one time.  Many could still be out there tucked away in attics, closets, trunks and old boxes.  Please, help us find them!
